CRAFT Foundation, Inc. Funding

CRAFT Foundation, Inc is a not-for-profit corporation. Funded by public grants secured from a variety of State and Federal sources including the Citrus Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) and USDA-MAC.

  • State Funding:
    • A one year $2M proposal for funding from the Citrus Research and Development Foundation was submitted by CRAFT on August 28, 2019 and subsequently approved for CRAFT Cycle I.
    • An additional, one-year $3M proposal was submitted by CRAFT in August 2020 and approved for CRAFT Cycle II.
    • A third, one-year proposal for $5M was submitted by CRAFT in the summer of 2021 and approved for CRAFT Cycle III.
    • A fourth, one-year proposal for $5M was submitted by CRAFT in 2022 and approved for CRAFT Cycle IV.
    • An agreement for $1.225M was approved for the development of a new Existing Tree Therapies program under CRAFT.
  • Federal Funding:
    • A two-year funding agreement between the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the USDA named CRAFT as a sub-recipient for funding totaling approximately $6.5M for CRAFT Cycle I.
    • An additional two-year funding agreement between the USDA and CRAFT provided approximately $5.5M for CRAFT Cycle II.
    • An agreement between USDA and CRAFT provided approximately $4M for CRAFT Cycle IV and the continued data collection, analysis and maintenance of CRAFT Cycles I-III.
    • More than $2.35M was approved for the development of a new Existing Tree Therapies program under CRAFT.
